Workforce Literacy
BEACON’s Workforce Literacy program helps members of the community obtain and improve employment. The program assists individuals by helping them achieve their academic goals, write resumes and cover letters, complete job applications, practice positive communication skills, develop short and long term employment goals, understand the social culture of work and use community resources to find employment. The program is based on the belief that when individuals are aware of their own abilities and aptitudes as well as the different requirements of various occupational settings, they can make powerful and meaningful choices regarding employment and self-fulfillment.
